Economic growth

High-quality jobs for Northamptonshire

Despite being one of the fastest-growing areas in the UK in terms of housing delivery in recent years, North Northamptonshire has faced challenges in generating higher value jobs. On average, Northamptonshire also exhibits lower employment rates in high-skilled occupations compared to the rest of the UK.

These proposals aim to address this shortfall. Through the delivery of new highly sought-after industrial and logistics units we will be creating approximately 3,000 full-time equivalent jobs onsite.

These jobs will be across a range of skill levels, with a majority of those expected to require Level 3 qualifications or above. Once operational, we expect the site to generate £238.2 million in annual economic output.

New industrial and logistics space

A booming economy

Northamptonshire is at the heart of the UK’s ‘Golden Logistics Triangle’ and plays a crucial role in furthering the growth of the country’s economy. Helping to meet the growing demand for new industrial and logistics space in the local area is important for both the Northamptonshire economy, and the UK as a whole.

We recognise that there is desire to see a range of job opportunities delivered, and that is why our plans also include a number of Class B2 units. B2 covers a range of industries, including manufacturing and repair work.

Our proposals provide businesses with an opportunity to thrive and expand in the Northamptonshire area, leveraging the excellent access provided by this prime location.
