Help support us in creating the new jobs Northamptonshire needs.
Harworth has submitted an application for a new employment site near Rothwell that could deliver approximately 3,000 full-time equivalent jobs for a range of skill levels.
The site will also deliver investment in local roads, including a brand-new roundabout. A planting scheme will include new trees, hedgerows and meadows to improve biodiversity.
We would value your support to make this happen

How we have listened
We received feedback from over 700 local residents. This covered a range of issues and helped us to shape the plans.
1. Investment in local roads
Throughout our consultation it was clear that one of the top priorities for those living locally is the state of roads and the impact that the proposals could have on the highways network.
As part of our plans, we will be providing a new roundabout along Harrington Road to ensure good traffic flow.
As a result, we are also looking to widen Harrington Road, introduce a reduced speed limit of 40mph and deliver upgrades to walking and cycling infrastructure to and from the site.

2. Increased biodiversity
A number of respondents mentioned the potential impact of the proposals on local wildlife and biodiversity more widely.
We want to reassure the community that Harworth are committed to delivering a net gain in biodiversity as part of the proposals.
This will mean that the natural environment will be in a better state than it was before the development.
3. Jobs onsite
It was clear from speaking with the community that there was a demand for skilled job opportunities in the local area.
On this site, the majority of jobs we are looking to deliver will require Level 3 qualifications or above.
Roles could range from manufacturing jobs to supply chain management and everything in between.
